Calm 🗿

Â
Challange
Large-scale festival environments create significant sensory overstimulation, yet standard physical relaxation spaces often lack the capacity or immersive depth to provide effective relief for diverse neurodivergent needs.
Was asked to participate in an open-call to make and present a project centered around accessiblity at Roskilde Festival.

Approach
I co-developed an immersive Unity-based VR installation designed to counteract overstimulation through ambient soundscapes and responsive light design. The project functioned as a field study, utilizing Participatory Design and physiological measures (HRV) to compare embodied responses between digital and physical relaxation spaces.

Outcome
The study demonstrated the potential of immersive design as a tool for collective calm and reflection, contributing insights to research on digital wellbeing and sensory-balanced environments. The study proved that digital tools cab be effective for some of the users as they can separate themselves from a hectic festival enviroment and indulge in a meditative activity.Â
